I am an artist, calligrapher by training, and writer by passion. I began to paint with words at the age of seven, and never looked back.

My monoprints, and watercolors, are often transformed joyfully into miniature artist’s books, where my love of words, calligraphy, and art combine to reflect the essence of the abstract image.

My calligraphed monoprint “The Trout” (selected Joann Moser, Senior Curator of Graphic Arts, at the Smithsonian National Museum of American Art), was accessioned by the Boston Public Library for its American Printmaking Collection; another monoprint, “Catch a Falling Star,” was cover art for the literary journal Thema’s 20^th anniversary issue.

Photography has taken me travelling for decades across oceans and local venues to capture unique images of often very ordinary things.

All of these works span a lifetime of artistic intensity and diligence.

I inherited my artistic talent from my mother, an artist in her own right and my first and most ardent fan, who constantly nurtured both my art and my writing.

6. Mixed Media & Plates - used to create images, as well as pieces that incorporate a variety of other media

7. Miniature Artist's Books - are unique books from pieces of monoprints and other usually handmade papers and ephemera, often including calligraphy quoting poetry, lyrics or quotes to enhance the meaning of the piece. None are larger than 3"x5".

8. Paintings - While some of these paintings were inspired by either my monoprints or my photographs, others have made their presence known through the energy of the creative spirit.

9. Series, etc. - These monoprints are either Varied Editions (as the name implies, monoprints are one-of-a kind; but often variations are created - but it isn't easy!) Series are, as you will see, a group of closely related prints - distinctly different, but similar.

10. SHOWS & EXHIBITS - These are both one-woman, invitational, and group shows.
